BlazerJobs is partnering with a school district in Thomasville, NC, to hire a full-time School Psychologist for the 20252026 school year. This itinerant position serves students across four schools and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students academic, social, and emotional success.
School psychologists in this role help students succeed by collaborating, problem-solving, intervening, and evaluating within a Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) framework. You will use evidence-based interventions and analyze data to support student growth while partnering with educators, administrators, families, and community mental health professionals.

As a School Psychologist, you will:

Collaborate with district and school leadership to implement MTSS and align instruction to student needs

Provide services including universal screenings, data-based decision-making, academic/behavioral programming, progress monitoring, and data interpretation

Consult with staff, families, and community agencies regarding student cognitive, academic, social, and behavioral performance

Support Exceptional Children staff with referrals and reevaluation processes

Administer assessments to determine student strengths, needs, and suspected disabilities
-
Develop comprehensive psychoeducational reports to guide instruction and programming
-
Assist with Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans

Support crisis intervention efforts including suicide screenings and threat assessments

Provide professional development to school staff and stakeholders

Participate in professional learning aligned to district/school improvement plans
Requirements / Qualifications:

Valid NC School Psychologist certification (026)

Experience with ECATS preferred or required

Working knowledge of the NASP Model for Comprehensive and Integrated School Psychological Services and NC Professional School Psychology Standards

Strong collaboration, assessment, intervention, and communication skills
